Devils Kitchen..

Just off the road on the Nebo Loop, the Devils Kitchen is the coolest Red Canyon stuck in the middle of the mountain!
Here is Rod and Cody checking out the view!
Cassidy was enjoying taking pics with her camera! It was fun to look at everything she took pictures of! Including a ton of herself!
When you are stuck home with a new baby, it is these small road trips with the fam that help you feel like you are still sane and there is still life out there!

What a HELPER!!

My mom came down to help me do some deep cleaning. She wears a bandana to keep from sweating to death while she works.. Cassidy wanted to be like her, all I had was one of Rod's wild rags (he wears it in the winter when he goes riding or dresses up for something).. Which I tried to tie like a bandana on her head but it was so big it ended up looking like aunt jamima!
It was so nice of my mom to come help! It was nice just to play with Cassidy for a little while! She sure knows how to make Cassidy feel important!

Happy Birthday Bog!

Although I have not been very good at keeping this updated on a regular basis, I have been doing it for a year now! I am taking it off of private for a while, to give additional friends and family I have found through face book to follow our wonderful but boring lives and watch our kids grow.. So comment or e-mail me with your e-mail address if you would like me to add you, (I will be changing it back to private).
Thanks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG!

Genola Days..

I know he was only a week old, but I was already stir crazy and we never miss Genola Days! So we went to the parade and the Rodeo! It was alot of fun.
Ya gotta love small town parades. They make two trips and throw candy for the kids. The home made floats and fellow towns people who participate are awesome!

Jack was working cows with his dad, but his little brother Cannon got to come and he is just a cutie! AND Cassidy was nice to him, although she refused to put her arm around him, let alone touch him at all for the picture!

Here is Sis and Ryann. Such darling cowgirls!
It was a fun rodeo, I didn't watch alot of it because I was enjoying watching the kids play more!

Here we are, 2009, Cassidy 4 years old, Cody 1 week old.. Rod and I are ageless!

Finally!!

Congratulations to Roy & Melaine who got engaged while they were in Utah! I love Melaine and am very excited to call her my sister!

Happy Birthday Sis!

Cassidy turned four! The time has flown by, I look at her and still see my baby girl, but then she talks like some crazy grown up! Rod got her a ceiling fan because hers broke a couple of months ago, and silly as it sounds, it was her favorite present!
She wanted a Spider Man birthday, she has already informed me that next year she would like a bat man birthday.. But officially her first request was a Scooby Doo birthday, which we celebrated early.. in anticipation for her new brothers arrival.

You all know how much I LOVE pictures of me, especially 9 months pregnant! But Sis was crawling across me to get away from Chuck E Cheese! It was hilarious, so I had to share the picture!
We all had a good time. It was so nice of Shareen, Brittany, Mom and Janice to spend their afternoons helping me keep track of 8 kids 4 and under! Thanks you guys for helping me make Sis's birthday a special one!

My Baby Brother!

Cassidy didn't know what to think of me in the hospital, all of the IV's and nurses coming in and out.. But she instantly loved her little brother! She is a great help too when she wants to be!

Cody's first family picture! I cannot complain my delivery was easy and even though I am a baby, my pregnancy went by quickly and with no complications! We are very happy to have our new little man as a part of our family!

WELCOME! Cody Wayne

7lbs 8 ounces, 20.5 inches long; Born June 18th 2009 at 3:14 p.m.
A very tired mommy and daddy!
Snug as a bug in a rug!
A very tired Dr.! He delivered like four babies that Thursday.
We checked in and were ready to go by 7 a.m. Unfortunately the epidural slowed my contractions down so he didn't come until 3 p.m. We didn't get into my room until 7:00 p.m. It was nice to have all of the visitors make the trip! Thank you everyone!

Rachel & Jason's Visit to the Carter Farm..

It is not very often we get to see Roy's kids. So when we get the opportunity we jump on it! (thanks Kristy!) I was lucky this visit because they got to come spend the day with us and it was so much fun to have them!
Rachel made cupcakes, and then they decorated them (I think they ate more frosting than what was put on the cupcakes).. Then they posed with their completed uh.. projects..

Then we went to Rod's brothers house and visited them and their animals!
Rachel & Jason really enjoyed the chicken coop.. (No, it wasn't mud on their shoes Jerrilynn!)

Cassidy is use to the animals and loves playing with them (or abusing them) at her cousins house.
Jason didn't quite know what to think about the baby goats. He barely touched it and that was enough..
Rachel on the other hand, went as far as letting the baby suck on her fingers!
Last but not least was Mule Riding.. Cassidy is a pro and does pretty well by herself!
While they were waiting for their turn to ride, they played in the barn on the haystack!
Look what cuties they are! They MUST be related!
Rachel and her beautiful smile.. She is a natural at everything she does!
And Jason was ALL COWBOY! He didn't need any instruction, he just grabbed the reigns and yelled HAW! It was so funny!
We were so glad they came to visit us! And we can't wait to see them again!
