First REAL Snow Day!!

It snowed really good for about an hour. Cassidy couldn't wait to go out and play. She wanted to make a snow angel and a snowman, thankfully there was not enough snow for a snow man because her mom only likes to look at snow through a window from a warm house! Brrr....
Cassidy LOVES the snow. She will wander around for hours. Stops and looks at her "traps" (tracks). Then wanders around some more. Occasionally she will scoop up snow and eat it as she walks.. Seiously, whose child is this??

Here is her beautiful snow angel! She did pretty well if you ask me!

Christmas Crazy Dad!!

Rod went nuts with the lights this year! Cassidy loves it and we have to keep our blinds open all night so we can see them! It really is pretty to have all of the colors. If we would have had more extension cords we would have ALL of the tree's covered in lights! I swear you can see our house from 3 miles away!

Thanksgiving..

Thanksgiving was a blast! It was our 'off' year to have dinner at the in-laws, and since my family is not the big turkey dinner type, we spent this years Thanksgiving Day with our best friends and their family!
They always put on a production for everything they do! It makes it so much fun. We had a gobbling contest, Cassidy even gobbled! We played musical chairs, and it was competitive! We made a craft and visited and enjoyed their company. It was a really nice day. I wish I would have had my camera to share the pictures.. Jeremy falling on his rear as Danny pulled the chair out from underneath him so he could win musical chairs.. Rod Jumping over the line of Chairs just to ensure he got a place to sit. It was all great! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!
Anyway, I am grateful to be surrounded by such good friends. I am thankful for our families, and all of their quirks, it makes life much more interesting. But most of all I am thankful for my parents. All they have done and do for us on a daily basis, there is no one like them, and I hope one day I can be as selfless, giving and loving as they are!
And, last but not least, I am so blessed, and thankful for my little family. I would be lost with out them!
Happy Turkey Day!
