Lucky Boy's last day with us!

Here is our little guy at 6 weeks old. He went to his new home last night! Cassidy was so sad to let him go. Can you blame her though? Look at that face!
He has grown into his stomach a little, although he is still quite a chunky puppy!

I know he looks all lab like his mamma. There is no question who his daddy is. The red coat isn't the only trait he got from Max.. Here he is in the 'Border Collie Stalk' he is stalking a leaf!
He is the sweetest dog ever. He is mellow, doesn't barks.. Likes to play, but would rather cuddle..

We will miss you Lucky.. We hope you love your new family!

They are really REAL..

Little Miss tucked her Woody & Jessie right in with her for bed.. And yes, those are her socks on their heads.. :)

Lucky Boy..

Well, our 8 mo old Red border collie Max decided he REALLY likes older women.. Like our 9 year old Lab Mistie.. Yes, in dog years 9 years old is like 63? So.. Misty had pups.. She had 4, and Lucky is the only one who survived.. Hence the name.. LUCKY!
He is incredibily mellow.. He is our little sausage.. He is so cute!
Mistie is a really small lab to begin with, so It will be fun to see what Max looks like when he is full grown!
Here he is high centered on his mamma's leg!
We have found a good family to adopt him.. They are pretty local so hopefully we will get to hear about him and see him once in awhile! We still get to watch him grow for a couple more weeks! So I will try to post more pictures!

Roy & Melaine.. Finally tied the knot!

Roy's wedding gave us the excuse to go visit San Francisco! It was my first time there, and it was memorable for sure! We met alot of new friends, went on a REALLY fast motorcycle ride to see the beautiful coast etc. did some touristy stuff and even adopted a new sibling..
Carson Applegate is still living in SF.. :)
Here is the lot of us, less Joyce and her family..
The reception was held on the roof of the Hotel.. This was the view, taken by my cousin, from the top!
We have always considered Melaine as our sister, but now she is officially an Applegate! And we are happy for them!

First Day of Kindergarten!

Little miss was nervous about her first day, but she is loving school now! Her teacher is great, and she is excited to go everyday! The first day when she got home, she was sad, so I asked her why.. and her reply was that she didn't learn how to read!

I cried pretty much every morning for the first week as she left and walked with our neighbor to the bus stop.. I love to watch her grow and learn, but it is going by too fast!

Happy Fourth of July!!

We had a really nice fourth celebration with just our little family!
We BBQ'd then Cassidy and I played with sparklers!
Cody wanted to eat the sparklers, so he didn't get to play with them this year..

It was great to relax and have a fun day at home!

Trip to Yellowstone National Park!!

On our way to Yellowstone we stopped in Idaho at Bear World. I love this little park. It is cool to be able to drive through the bears and wild life and see them up close.
Cody was happy to get out of his car seat and as always, he was climbing and crawling on everything!
We rode the train and the little kiddie rides. I couldn't talk Rod in to participating though..

Two Peas in a Pod.. It was so nice to go with Kevin & Shar, it made the trip more fun!
The animals in the petting zoo knew best to run when the saw Cassidy coming!
The baby bears are my favorite.. They were so much fun to watch play!
And my BABY BEARS! So CUTE!!
Once we had eaten lunch, we were on our way again and headed to Yellowstone!
I have only been to Yellowstone once and I was like 8 years old. I was really excited to go!
Rod loves Fishing Bridge it brings back good memories for him.

I love Old Faithful, a trip to Yellowstone isn't complete unless you get to see it..
Cassidy thought it was "AWESOME"
We visited the Grizzly Discovery center in West Yellowstone, and I tell ya it was the coolest! The Grizzlies are massive, you know they are big, then you see one this close and realize they are gigantic!
They rescue problem wolves and bears, it is their last hope before having to destroy them. It is such a neat program. It was my favorite part of our vacation. This bear was my favorite..
Cassidy got to go in the bear cage and they hide food for the bears to come and find, like they would in the wild. They try to minimize the direct contact with humans as much as they can.
Then they let the bears out and they rummage and work for their food!
This is a bear trap, it is made of incredibly heavy duty steel, which was bent up by bears trying to escape.. WOW.. They are such amazing animals..
We hit all of the little hikes along the way.. Everything was so beautiful and fascinating!
Here is Rod and Kevin looking for Bears.. We ended up seeing 2 Grizzlies, 2 Black Bears, A lot of Buffalo, a Bald Eagle, Elk, Coyote, Mountain Sheep, and Wolves at the discovery center..
Cody was about sick of sitting by the end of each night! He was so good!
We discovered Cody LOVES red licorice.. It was everywhere! The mess was worth keeping him happy though!
We loved the mud pots.. There was mud shooting all over! Cassidy thought it didn't smell so good! It was so beautiful though!
