Happy Birthday to my little Monkey Boy!

Cody wasn't sure he liked being the center of attention. We had a small party for him, not our typical whole family gathering (at Rod's request)..
He didn't quite grasp the concept of opening gifts either, but Sis was more than happy to 'show' him how to do it!

He liked the Happy Birthday song, Didn't blow out the candle but REALLY wanted to grab it!
He LOVED his cake and ate it ALL!

Grandma & Grandpa Applegate came down for the celebration and our friends the Thorntons! It was a good thing too because there was WAY to much cake! (mmmmm..)

Happy Birthday little man.. I do not know what we would do with out you! You have made our family complete!

Welcome to the FARM..

Meet Remington (AKA Little Buddy Earl) He is Rod's source of excercise these days. We trot around the block, ride at the arena and do barrells, andwe are so happy he joined our family! He is so mild mannered, and will be perfect for both Cassidy AND Cody!

Meet Sheer Khan.. (AKA Kitty) This is Cassidy's new baby.. She is a cute little cat. And seems to LOVE/HATE Sis.. :) It is hard ot get Sis to want to do anything BUT play with her, but it is a great bargaining device!
Meet Rooster Cogburn.. He is a great rooster, not aggressive at all, you can hold him and pet him, but don't touch his hens! We are looking for a new home for him if any one is interested. Cassidy likes to hold the chickens like puppies, and he doesn't like her too, so she is afraid of him. But he is a nice old guy, would make anyone a great meal!

Dancing with the STARS!

Sis started late in the year, but she did a great job! We loved watching her do her thing on the stage!
Cody especially enjoyed the Hip Hop songs!
She did two numbers, one was a cute ballerina song, and the other was baby face.. They were all just darling!
Her teacher is really structured, and she did a great job with Cassidy in teaching her the dances.
What a fun night. I love my darling little dancer!

Weekend in Torrey..

We never go any where without the kids, however, thanks to Rod's parents, we were able to go to Torrey for a RMMA ride! It was just like old times! It was so much fun, we made some new friends, and had fantastic weather!

We visited old mines, saw Indian ruins and found relics, and there was TONS of petrified wood!

Our Little Mule Skinner....

Here is sis in her new chinks.. gettin ready to ride with her dad in the barn. Lately she has been riding everyday!

She is doing really well, we are very proud of her!
Can you even see her behind those ears?

Preschool Graduation 2010!

Here she is, our preschool graduate.. She made me take like 40 goofy pictures to get one where she looks semi normal.. I am discovering it is all about the bargaining to get what I want out of her..
Her best friends and Grandma Applegate came to see her program and see her graduate.

We went to her favorite spot for ice cream and celebrated!

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Another year older and hopefully wiser.. I got to do what ever I wanted! It was great!
Don't look to close, there are ALOT of candles on that cake!
My little sunshine was so excited about all of it
She made me breakfast, because "you can't make your own food on your birthday" it bothered her I made the cake, but she didn't mind licking the bowl!
Cassidy took this picture with her camera, wanted me to pose with frosting, candles and the pudding that goes in the cake..

It was so nice to be remembered by so many friends and family! It was fun to hang out with our friends and I couldn't have asked for a better day!

Happy Mothers Day!

We went to feed the ducks.. It must be a popular thing to do on Mothers Day because the ducks were FULL by the time we got there, if you can believe that! Then we drove up north to visit our moms! It was a delightful and relaxing day!

Easter Day & Coloring Eggs!

Cody just wants to be like and do like Sis! He follows her around when she will allow it!
He quite liked the Easter Basket, not so much what was in in though.. :)
Cassidy had alot of fun looking for all of the eggs and sharing them with her brother.. Knowing very well he wouldn't be able to eat the candy in them and she would get it all!
But, who could deny the poor guy a peep? What a mess it was! But he sure liked it!
This year we colored eggs at the Thorntons! It was alot of fun to see how much the kids have grown in just the past year. Cassidy and Ryann hardly needed any help at all coloring their eggs! Austyn however, didn't WANT help, and liked to taste the dye..

It was alot of fun! Cassidy gets so excited for the Holidays, it makes them all really enjoyable!

Carter Easter Party..

Cassidy loved dressing up for Easter, that is RARE!
Cody slept through the whole party! But he was happy to see everyone when he got up!
We didn't win the annual egg bashing contest this year! But that was ok with me!
As always Grandma supplies the group with TONS of toys and candy!
No, not garbage bags, these bags are full of their plunder from the Easter egg hunt!
